We are looking for a Sales Associate & Team Lead to join our retail team in Gothenburg. In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening Marimekko’s brand awareness and positioning by engaging and inspiring our fashion-focused customers and delivering a memorable in-store experience.
You will work closely with the Store Manager and your colleagues in the store team. This is a part-time (30h/w), fixed-term position for 1 year, starting in September and based in central Gothenburg. You will be reporting to the Store Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive sales performance by delivering excellent customer service and building strong customer relationships
- Ensure smooth daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures and compliance with company standards
- Maintain a high visual and operational store standard in line with Marimekko guidelines
- Support, coach, and motivate the team to achieve sales targets and create an inspiring store environment
- Plan and structure daily tasks and lead the team in the absence of the Store Manager
- Take initiative in daily operations, ensuring a proactive and solution-oriented approach
- Oversee stock routines and support efficient inventory management
In order to succeed in the role, you have/are:
- Experience in a similar role is considered an advantage
- Work experience in customer service and retail sales
- Interest in art, architecture, design, and fashion
- Ability to be a Marimekko Brand Ambassador in actions, attitude, and appearance
- Proactive and hands-on
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Able to work flexible work hours (including evenings, nights, and weekends)
