We are now looking for a hands-on developer with strong backend and integration expertise to build Azure native services and integrations across Marimekko’s core business systems.

In this role, your primary focus is on enterprise integrations, APIs and event-driven solutions that improve automation, reliability and operational efficiency across Marimekko’s value chain. In addition, you will help us apply AI capabilities where they create practical business value: for example in automation, process support and intelligent workflows.

Join our enthusiastic and collaborative Technology unit at our HQ in Herttoniemi, Helsinki, and be a key player in driving our transformative projects forward. You will join a small, collaborative Enterprise Solutions team and work closely with solution managers, business experts and selected technology providers and software vendors. Your work will have a direct impact on how Marimekko operates today and how we evolve our digital capabilities for the future.

This is a full-time, permanent role reporting to Marimekko’s Head of Enterprise Solutions.

Main responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure native services
• Develop and maintain integrations between enterprise systems, improving reliability and throughput using APIs, event-driven flows, and LLM solutions
• Automate manual steps in business and IT processes; add observability, resilience, and security by default
• Evaluate new AI capabilities and recommend sensible adoption paths
• Build AI-assisted workflows and features
• Provide operational support for integrations, including monitoring, incident resolution, and improving reliability through continuous development

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in backend or integration development in Azure
• Strong skills in Python and SQL
• Experience with APIM, and modern API design
• Experience building AI‑enabled features (e.g. MCP, RAG etc.)
• Ability to translate business needs into robust technical solutions and communicate clearly with non‑technical stakeholders
• Ability to successfully interact with diverse personalities at various levels of the organization
• Willingness and capacity to constantly learn new
• Enthusiastic, forward-thinking, positive, and team player
• Fluent in written and spoken English – Finnish is an advantage
