Regional Area Manager Scandinavia/EMEA
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious
REGIONAL AREA MANAGER SCANDINAVIA/EMEA
to lead our dedicated Scandinavian and EMEA retail teams (excl. Finland) from Marimekko’s Scandinavian office in Stockholm.
As our Regional Area Manager for Scandinavia your main responsibility is to run our retail operations and to develop sales in our own prime stores and shop-in-shops primarily in Scandinavia, but also in some European markets. You will report directly to the Head of Retail SCAN/EMEA/NA and work in close collaboration with your local colleagues in marketing, assortment planning and all sales channels. You will lead and develop a team of Store managers and drive sales and operational excellence. To succeed in this key position, you should have experience in prime store operations and a passion for fashion and home products. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and a can-do-attitude, and you want to create change and are not satisfied until progress is reached.
This position is a full-time permanent position in which you will report to the Head of Retail SCAN/EMEA/US and will be located at Marimekko´s Scandinavian office in Stockholm, Sweden.
Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivering sales and cost budgets in line with overall market target and set KPI goals on store level.
- To follow-up and analyze performance against targets and planning actions to close gaps
- Be an active part in local omnichannel meetings, in order to decide on a relevant campaign program and effective tactical campaigns within the market
- Develop the local omnichannel approach and the “eventful store” concept in order to run attractive prime stores
- Giving feedback to assortment team about stores assortment based on local needs
- Managing personnel costs of the stores
- Managing the recruitment process of store managers
- Actively managing and motivating your team
In order to succeed in the role, you have:
- Experience from an omnichannel retail set-up, where you have been working in a leadership position developing own retail channel according to new demands
- Experience from P&L ownership
- A proactive mindset, with an ability to think quickly and keep on top of things, in a fast-paced environment
- An entrepreneurial spirit, which means you easily adapt to change, and you work independently with both a results-driven and detail-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills and a positive can-do attitude
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience from fashion/lifestyle industry
- Fluency in Swedish and English both verbal and written
